When the topic of Colombian coffee comes up, El Paraiso just might come to mind.
That’s because the farm has become a key player in Nariño's economy and coffee production under producer José Gómez’s leadership. The region’s mineral-rich volcanic soils, plentiful rainfall, and high altitude, along with Gómez’s meticulous cultivation methods and solar drying system, cumulatively produce exceptional coffee with red fruit-forward flavour profiles, pleasing acidity, and balanced body.
Thus, for us it was a delightful mix of red Jolly Ranchers, a squeeze of lime, and the slightly earthy warmth of honey that crossed our minds when we first tasted this coffee. Not too jammy, neither too bright nor too heavy — just a dose of sweetness like candy and cocktails on a summer patio.
